In the past year LARDER has expanded their range to include jewellery. The collection is called Lucy & Alice after owners Nicole and Dru Reschke’s two daughters, aged 5 and 3 years.
As with LARDER, Lucy & Alice Jewellery’s emphasis is on quality, design and function. The range has over 100 pieces, and has had a great response at the August Home & Giving Gift Fair in Melbourne. The Melbourne Home & Giving Gift Fair attracts thousands of exhibitors and retailers each year on the hunt for hidden gems that will become tomorrow’s best-sellers.
“We had a great reaction to our jewellery range at the Fair, I think people loved that we were offering something a little different to what’s already on the market,” said Nicole.
“We have split the range into four distinct collections. Our Wooden Collection is coastal inspired and great for everyday wear. Our Resin and Metal Collection is sophisticated - perfect for evening cocktails by the beach. The Colourful Resin Collection is young, bright and fun. The Urban Collection is classically cool, the pieces looking amazing worn with black.”
The Wooden Collection in particular, proved very popular at the Gift Fair, the collection has over 35 handmade necklaces and bracelets.
As with their homewares, it was important to Nicole and Dru that the Jewellery range is affordable. As owners of two homewares store in country South Australia they both understand the retail market.
“We are finding more people in our homeware stores want good quality items that are affordable.”
The new collection is available now.
Nicole and Dru are owners of Koonara Wines in Penola and Loaves and Fishes in Robe, South Australia.
